 Latest Choir News:

 St. Colman's Christmas Concert, which was held on December 13, was a big success.  We are hoping that it will inspire more members of our congregation to join us in the choir loft.  Membership in both the Youth and Adult choir will be open until the end of January. If you would like to join the choir, please see Matthew Campisi after the 10:30 Mass on Sunday.  We will be rehearsing for Holy Week and our Easter Celebration.  We expect it to be a glourious event.

Anima Christi (Soul of Christ)

A beautiful prayer, often said after receiving Communion, dates from the early 14th century.

Anima Christi, sanctifica me.
Corpus Christi, salva me.
Sanguis Christi, inebria me.
Aqua lateris Christi, lava me.
Passio Christi, conforta me.
O bone Jesu, exaudi me.
Intra tua vulnera absconde me.
Ne permittas me separari a te.
Ab hoste maligno defende me.
In hora mortis meae voca me.
Et iube me venire ad te,
Ut cum Sanctis tuis laudem te.
In saecula saeculorum.
Amen
~~~
Soul of Christ, sanctify me
Body of Christ, save me
Blood of Christ, inebriate me (refresh me)
Water from the side of Christ, wash me
Passion of Christ, strengthen me
O good Jesus, hear me
Within Thy wounds hide me
Separated from Thee let me never be
From the malicious enemy defend me
(from the malignant enemy defend me)
In the hour of my death call me
And bid me come unto Thee
That I may praise Thee with Thy saints
and with Thy angels
(That with thy saints I may praise Thee)
Forever and ever. Amen.
